back from hongkong..

1st meal in hongkong..damn nice porridge at a crew joint..where most crew go to for supper

me and buddy woke up at 8am...just so that we have more time to shop.. our 1st meal of the day, dim sum feast recommended by the hotel concierge. check out the xiaolongbao on the left...it cost 3SGD EACH. but it's nice la..

and so after breakfast we started our shopping spree..for the record, we shopped 10hrs straight, skipping lunch and took only 1 toilet break. btw it's really hard to find a toilet in hongkong..their shopping centres have no toilets. and this was dinner..

as recommended by a fren..we tried the mango dessert at xu liu shan..yummyyy~

i'm back from sydney. =)

we were staying in hilton hotel. check out nice hotel room. =)

it also has an interesting automatic minibar, whereby the moment an item is picked up from the bar, it automatically charges to your account. no prizes for guessing what i did before i read the instructions.

just across the road is the Queen Victoria Building.

despite the short stay, i managed to visit some great places thanks to some new friends ive made =)

welcome to.. darling harbour.

we went for dinner at this authentic german pub.

after dinner we went to take a walk along the river..

we were all freezing but that did not stop us from eating icecream from this icecream stall which has very interesting flavours like ferro rocher! yummy~

finally.. what is sydney without..

my 1st flight will be on 9th oct 2007 heading for sydney, australia.

i guess i will have more to blog after i start flying..afterall life will be more interesting =)

after that i will be heading for hongkong, adelaide, seoul, frankfurt and new york =D

life is pretty interesting now.. weekdays are packed with tiring trainings, tests and more sleepy afternoons...weekends are for clubbing..chilling out..i quite like life like that..

maybe being single is not so bad afterall...

right. new skin sucks. i better blog about my korea trip before the memories start fading away.

at departure - lovely gfs geraldine & fangying came to send us off. so sweet..considering our flight was at 11plus and the bfs wouldnt be able to send them home after that. oh and nice freddy's parents gave me a lift to the airport too. :) flight was delayed for an hour so we hung around the transit area shopping and getting our feet massaged. the guys took some time to choose a cigar and we also grabbed some sashimi from the sakae sushi express counter.

on the plane - all were feeling excited for yingming as it would be his 1st time on a plane. mine was a window seat with royston sitting next to me. the seating arrangement was quite coked up so we were separated from the rest. it was a long flight abt 6-7hrs. we chatted a little before we decided to try and get some sleep. service on korean air was relatively good. there wasnt any on board entertainment though. breakfast was omelette or some korean dish "bibibap". i wasnt feeling adventurous so i chose the omelette. when we finally arrived at korea, captain announced that the temperature was 13degrees! and that korea is an hour behind singapore time.

annyeong-haseyo!

upon arrival - tour guide was a middle aged korean lady who calls herself mei nu. we're all pretty impressed with the fact that she can really talk non-stop. whenever we're on the coach, on our way to the next destination, she'll tell us the history of korea, the significance of our next destination, jokes and even taught us how to greet, say thanks and bargain in korean. it was very informative although some of the time we didnt appreciate it as we were more interested in catching some sleep in between each stop.

mt hallasan 1100 roads - our 1st stop. before we reached we heard the legend of the white stag and some holy person. nothing much to do at this stop so we just took a few photos with the white stag and the mountain which was covered by the fog. 1st meal - 1st meal was some zha jiang mian @ 5000won(~s$9) with yucky preserved carrots which only jianlin appreciated. after which we took an hour long domestic flight to the romantic jeju island.

jeju island - we learnt that jeju island is full of wind, stone and women! the ratio was about 8 to every 2 men. so it was said that the men on the island are like protected species. they stay at home while the women go out to work. and of cos understandably the men had more than 1 wife and had to work extra hard at night. lol. think the guys got excited at this point of time. jeju island also had no thieves, no door and no beggars.

1st meal on jeju - 1st meal on jeju island was some pork that we had to cut and wrap with big pieces of vege with some other side dishes such as garlic and ikan bilis and their special sauce. it was then we found out that kimchi was part of every korean meal. and that almost every meal we had bbq meat. either pork, duck, fish, cuttlefish or chicken. their korean rice was very nice.

hotel - we changed about 4 hotels. there wasnt any airconditioning in the hotels as temperature go down to as low as 5-6degrees at night. we only had to open a small window to get "free aircon". jeju pacific hotel. the hotel-phoenix park. imperial palace. the hotels were generally of good standard except one which left us a bad impression. electricity was cut off 1hr after we arrived at the hotel until the next morning. there was nothing we could do so we all turned in early. imperial palace was the coolest of them all. it had a victorian theme and was the only hotel which provided shampoo, bath foam and all. furniture was nice. everything was in place. most of the time we just gathered in 1 room to play asshole daidee and mahjong or just watching CSI:4 or harry potter on their english channel OCN.

meals - breakfast at the hotels were generally ok. twice we had chinese styled breakfast at some chinese restaurants with nice dou jiang and you tiao. once we had abalone porridge. one dinner we had instant noodles we bought from their family mart and went hungry so that we could save more money to shop at Doota! lol. we also had ginseng chicken for dinner once. most of the other meals were different types of bbq. all meals came with kimchi, rice and other small side dishes.

seongsan sunrise peak - our one and only mountain climbing experience. view was magnificant. mountain was damn high. we were given an hour to climb up to the peak and down. we all didnt think much of it. so we took our time to climb and take photos on the way up. until we realised we didnt have much time left and that we were even halfway up the mountain, we started to seriously make our way up the mountain and we did it non-stop until we reached the peak. by then, most of us were panting and legs were aching. took a few photos at the peak where there was supposed to be 99 stones arranged in a shape of a tiara. it started raining on our way down. bought some tangerine chocolates at the souvenir shop at the foot of the mountain.

jet boat ski - one of the more exciting stops where we took a jet boat which sped through the huge waves and made 360degree turns. the ride was exciting, bumpy and water splashing on our faces. fun!

korean folk village - film site of da chang jin. we were lead through by a really interesting korean lady who claimed to have cameo-ed in da chang jin for 2seconds. she's really cute and kept grabbing onto royston, trying to "sell" her daughter to him. there, we were introduced to their jeju-produced products - honey, ling zhi and wu wei zi. we also saw the black pig. which we later had for lunch. haha.

teddy bear museum - film site of goong. lots of interesting teddy bears made to look like many famous personalities such as mona lisa, elvis and even einstein! carebears and paddington were spotted too! think most of the photos were took here. met a group of korean students who were visiting the musuem too. learnt to say "kimchi!" when we take photo instead of the boring "cheese!"

o'sulloc green tea musuem - pretty boring place but we ate some 3000won green tea icecream which sucks too.

tangerine orchard - not the tangerine season. tried the famous jeju tangerine. took some photos with fake tangerines which made it picture perfect.

yongduam rock - some rock which supposed to resemble a dragon's head. seems more like a rabbit or chicken head to most of us. the guys tried raw seafood which had just been directly brought up from the sea. left royston with a stomachache.

mysterious road - we experienced the phenomenon of going uphill with the coach engine switched off for abt 100m. the guys werent very impressed. kept insisting that it was just rolling downhill. took some funny photos there.

everland theme park - supposedly the highlight of them all. the rain spoilt it all. im still very impressed with the spirit of the employees at the theme park. it was wet and cold but their spirits were high. they were still singing and dancing with their signature waves. the everland theme song was playing all around the park. our 1st ride was a 360degrees roller coaster which was a huge disappointment. most of the rides were down due to the rain. even the parade and fireworks performance was cancelled. the 3D movie sucks. safari was pretty ok. there was the liger which was a cross between tiger and lion. it was the highlight bcos ligers are precious as they could not reproduce. wasted 1 free ride cos we got lost half the time. towards the end it started to rain quite heavily and the cold wind was blowing. all of us were freezing. my hands and feet got pretty numb.

icheon termeden spa & doctor fish - woot. doctor fish was this place where the fishes nimbled at the dead skin cells on our feet. supposed to be some kind of therapy. was a very ticklish experience. there were like almost 50-60fishes on my feet at one point of time and it was so ticklish, my tears rolled. >.<

korean farm & ATV - where we learnt to make cheese with fresh milk, apple cider and some salt water used to make tofu. our cheese turned out to be the worse yet we da-baoed to play asshole daidee back in hotel at night. we were also given red wine to go with the cheese. ours was cherry-flavoured. later we had to feed the sheeps at the farm and then the usual sheep shearing. we had to use scissors and we were all scared that we might injure the sheep. had nice grilled potatoes too. then there was glass sledding which was pretty fun too. we just sat on some plastic board and slid down the grass patch. later we got to ride on the ATV (all terrain vehicle). was a 4wheeled bike. the guys rode pretty well. took some nice videos and photos.

hanbok wearing & kimchi making - was quite an informal thing. we all got to choose and wear the traditional korean wear and took many photos. kimchi making was ok. but we never got to noe where the kimchi went to.

shopping - @ insadong, myeongdong, dongdaemun, sinchon ladies street. all had to agree that Doota! was our ultimate favourite shopping place! we were given about 2hrs to shop there on one of the nights. and finally on our last night, the 6 of us took a cab down to Doota! to do our last minute shopping and we spent most of our money there. well, at least i did. :p Doota is like our far east shopping centre but the fashion is 1 step ahead of us and alot more expensive. everything in Doota! looks nice and fashionable! i've never seen the guys more excited about shopping. in the end we all had to force ourselves out of the place before we really empty our pockets. also helped the guys choose presents for the gfs. the rest of the shopping areas were just ok.

overall the trip was fun! company was good too. definitely worth the money i guess. i would want to visit korea again.. in fact, im missing it already. =(

some updates..

KOREA - it's been confirmed! 8-day romantic korea trip from 4th may onwards. (3rd last paper. 4th morning fyp presentation. 4th night flying off. i still haf to move out of kuok in between.) me, fred, yude, royston, yingming and jianlin. yep. 6 of us. 5guys+1girl. hopefully everything will go well. why korea? hm.. guess it'll be a good place to just sit, relax and watch cherry blossoms. haha.. too bad julius cant come along =( stupid vip.

DRIVING - muahaha.. i finally passed! on 2nd attempt though >.< 1st try was pretty bad..28points, together lousy parallel parking and i was driving way below speed limit. rofl. *smacks myself*

EXAMS - 1 paper down. 1 more to go. 1 more final fyp presentation b4 it is really over. keeping fingers crossed..

i read in the papers that companies such as restaurants are secretly reading our blogs to find out our reviews on their services..standards..etc. so here goes..hope the VIVO guys are reading this.

1. the lifts to the carparks at lobby N really sucks! i dunno abt the rest of the lifts to the rest of the carparks but those 2 r terrible! we were at level 6..waiting to go down to level 3, it took an unbearable amount of time to come up to level 6 and it was on it's way up. unbearable bcos the lift lobby is too stuffy! there's practically no ventilation! since the lift was going up, we waited for it to come down. in the end, when it was on it's way down, it passes by level 6! >:( now we're surrounded by v angry ppl..including ourselves. when the other lift finally came, a bunch of v angry ppl were in it as well. so they were complaining loudly when we squeeze ourselves into the lift. >:( and then the stupid lift door refuses to close!! it was only after abt 10 attempts of hitting the lift button b4 it finally closes.

2. HONG REN TANG is one of the best restaurants in singapore, yet today's experience at the vivo branch is no different from any other lousy restaurants around. the waiting time was way too long. the 1st dish took abt 20-25mins to come..and it was only after we asked them about it. the supposedly appetizer was the 3rd dish to come. and the dessert took forever.

3. service at the adidas shop @ level 1 was crap. no sales ppl standing around to help. they just gathered together to talk in a far corner near the fitting rooms. when i finally found this malay guy and asked him if the jacket i was holding onto had a different size, he didnt offer to help me check..he told me they were all on the racks..so i asked him if other branches would have.. he was like.. "oh..i'm not sure". duh. of cos he wouldnt noe..but at least he could haf offered to check for me simply bcos i really wanted the jacket very much! and guess wad? he just walked away to go and continue chatting with his colleague! damn.

4. and finally, the lift door refuses to close again on our way out.

it was a short 2.5hrs spent at vivocity and i only visited 2 shops. oh well...

1. new macdonalds opened @ the park opposite the current kfc. has drive thru. reminds me of west coast macs :)

2. s11 @ big mac centre. either closed down or under renovation. hope it's just renovation. no more regular dosage of bah chor mee. :(

3. new kbox plaza @ amk central! yay! it's at the old LJS building. think not opened yet.

4. the new amk hub gonna have the biggest ntuc ever. it's called fairprice Xtra.

5. new shopping place @ big mac centre. many little shops. like bugis and far east type.

6. tip top curry puff is now $1! and no..it didnt grow proportionally in size. :( (used to be 70cents when i started eating..then 90cents..now $1 already)

ok. everything is so overdue now. my bangkok trip photos. simon's wedding. our 1st year anniversary.

let's talk abt the most important one then. :)

30 October 2006 : OUR 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY! :D

not much of a celebration. like most typical engineering students, we attended all our lectures that day. the last one ended at 7.30pm. how to celebrate like that? lol.

the night before just after 12midnight, he called. usually i will be the 1st one to wish him during our monthiversaries. :) he sounded excited. just like me. after he wished me a happy 1st year anniversary, he mentioned that he will be going to meet up with his frens to wash their bikes.

the surprise came at shortly after 1am. he called me to say that he's just downstairs in front of kuok. :) that totally made my day. no presents. no flowers. but good enough. he was sweating and hands were dirty. he rushed down right after he washed his bike. i didnt care much. just wanted to give him the biggest hug. the one he deserved.

after lecture we went to vivocity for a nice dinner and a nice movie. the day ended well with a nice little surprise from me, not forgetting a good game of WOW. lol.

it's been a year full of ups and downs. but i can safely say that there were more ups than downs. :) he is not the sweetest guy alive. nor the most romantic one. (in fact, he's the most practical and least romantic out of all the bfs i've had.) but every little thing he does for me shows that he really cares and that he truly loves me for who i am. despite the huge differences in our lifestyles and characters, i think we managed it well.

to the one who's been sharing the past 1 year of my life with me,

been watching a lot of movies lately..

singapore dreaming - think it's gonna be nice? dream on.. shooting the movie is easy. it's like shooting any normal singaporean family. heavily local flavoured but nothing interesting. in short, it's just like sitting on your doorsteps watching your neighbours next door. woffles wu got lots to learn from jack neo.

miami vice - another blockbuster overrated. it's your usual police and thief show. 2 policemen go undercover. 1 of them falls in love with the big boss's girl. the other 1's wife taken under captivity. drug syndicate busted. and u noe the rest.. i must give credit to gong li though.. she's a real classic oriental beauty. another huge minus point for this show would be that it is a butt-aching 2.5hrs long! *yawns*

rob-b-hood - starring jackie chan and his usual are-you-sure-anyone-can-do-that sunts! lol. trust me. anyone can be easily amazed by his stunts in this show. and the baby...IRRESISTABLE! *melts* totally enjoyed the whole 2hrs and 15mins of it! another plus point? it also stars charlene choi of twins! my all time fave.. hehe. although her part is pretty negligible. :p overall, i'll give it 5*s! for not making me feel bored at any point of time. great job~

yum cha-ed with freddy at chinatown.. was an impromptu decision.. original plan was to go have some jap buffet at amara hotel since i havent had sushi for the longest time.. but yesterday i finally went sakae with julius. our 1st visit together. hehe.. plus i wasnt hungry by the time freddy reached.. so we walked to chinatown hunting for good food. had dim sum.. nothing special except that we ordered this chicken feet thing for 3 bucks, only to realise that we both cant take spicy stuff and it was too hot for the both of us.. lol. in the end we left it untouched.. the waitress who kept coming to refill our tea didnt dare to clear it. lol.

anyway sakae having their 9th year celebration.. 9 coloured plates at 9bucks! dont act smart and think that RED is also a colour.. hehh.. as i was saying, 1st visit to sakae with julius.. poor boy..he doesnt eat anything except.. GYOZA! lol. so out of the 9 plates we had, abt 3-4 were GYOZAs. :p before that we made a visit to queensway to look for his soccer boots.. in the end got a pretty nice pair with dragons imprint. lol. no after dinner activities as he had to make his way back home for his WoW guild run... and i made another trip down to kbox at clementi yet again..

MoS-ed again last night.. it was a girls night out. all 6 of us jie meis.. we had a lot of fun!! :)))) other than the fact that we kept getting touched and picked up the whole night.. esp the bday girl :) while we were dancing, we kept a lookout for each other..hitting all the guys hands which were trying to touch us..hugging each other, trying to act lesbian to keep the guys off..taking photos..trying new drinks.. girls rulezzz! :p upload photos soon..! got very pretty girls! one of them just won Ms SIM 1st runnerup.. nicee..

went for barclays career talk today. another good pay and stressful environment. it made me think a lot.. made me think about the bloody scholarship i gave up. about my future..or the lack of it. sometimes i really hate the way things turned out to be.. my only console is that julius promised me to work harder for our future. sweet. :)

wahhhhhh... very long never update. heh.. new look! i was thinking about how my new template should look..should i act cute and use a kitty skin? should i act class and use a vintage one? hehe.. note: i really almost used a kitty one! but to save my readership, i'd better scrape the thought.

tml is already the 5th week of school..and i have already completed 1 module :) it was some design project which took up the whole of my 1st 3 weeks. i shall not complain abt it over here as some of my ce frens are still working their asses off on the stupid project.. so after that module, i still have 4 more modules left, including FYP. taking this einstein gem with julius which till now has not failed to stun me every lecture. the concepts amaze me. but wad amazes me more is that i dont really understand wad i understand.. hmm.. sounds worrying. i've got this other transport module which i'm taking with stef.. it's pretty interesting cos the lecturer really noes his stuff.. he shared with us many interesting stories abt local transportation as well as overseas. in the end, i dont think i remember wads in the lecture notes other than his stories.

hmm.. i'm quite lost as to wad to blog abt..i think too many things happened. lol.

oh.. we went to watch superband!

yeah..stupid right? haha.. we went to squeeze and scream together with the xiao meimeis and the xiao didis.. diao.. but fun la.. brought my meimei and her fren there cos we've got 4 complimentary tics from the kind sponsors. at 1st me and denise felt very out of place cos of the very young crowd.. in the end we decided to start screaming to join in the fun.. and we did! we even screamed louder than my meimei and her fren who were big fans of MLB. haha.. after that julius came to pick us up for supper at 85. niceee. :)

me and freddy visited the new restaurant at citilink on a saturday night.. NEW YORK NEW YORK! we had a fish and chips, carbonara with roast chicken (both are just very normal) and a super sinful dessert! presenting to you.... FRIED MARS BAR WITH ICECREAM! *drools*

hehe.. hungry or not? i'll definitely go back for it again.. it's super niceee.. and a great idea frying the mars bar.

went to watch THE CLICK with julius.. didnt expect it to be so nice..! from the trailers it looked like another stupid show..but it turned out to be really meaningful. it tells us that we should not work too hard and neglect our families and to treasure everything.. SNAKES ON THE PLANE looks dumb as well.. i wonder if it will haf a meaningful ending to it.. haha.. that day i saw this trailer at cineleisure..and the show is called...HOW TO EAT FRIED WORMS. duh.

i've also been playing quite a lot of WoW lately.. jia lat.. i played at lan shops at ginza and selegie and julius' house just this week alone.. i think i'm hooked on it.. but it's really fun! and the lan shop at selegie is very nice! visible keys on the keyboard, nice sound system, good mouse, comfy seats, airconditioner just the right temp.. all except the disgusting toilets.. i guess it's just guys.. i dont understand why is it so hard to just FLUSH.. anyway i've got a human priest, undead priest, undead warrior and an undead mage so far.. fun!!

think i shall just stop here for now.. wad do u think of the new look? or would kitty be better? :D

i'm back!

omg.. 2 months never update..hehe.. this is going to be a purely words, no photos entry. why? cos my harddisk crashed! and i lost ALL my photos! :((((((((((( my orientations..family gatherings..class gatherings..all gone. all gone. :(((((( so please.. if anyone has my photos, kindly send it to me when u see me online k? it will be much appreciated!! :)

anyway i just watched the 1st round of quarterfinals! GERMANY won!!! :D dunno y i'm so excited.. i wasnt supporting them in the 1st place.. just thought it might be an exciting match cos argentina is so strong and there's this trend that host countries have been winning the world cups.. and indeed! germany showed great fighting spirit and they won! i think must give credits to the goalkeeper. damn zai. haha..

other than watching some of the matches, i've also been busy working. for the uninitiated, i'm currently doing part-time with prudential..BUTTTT!!! that doesnt give u a reason not to jio me out anymore k?? haha. i promise i wont try to sell anything to any of my frens or family..unless u want me to.. i'm serious la..i noe many ppl haf bad experiences with insurance agents but i assure u that these are just some ppl who r the black sheeps in this industry. so far it's been a great experience for me.. an eye-opener..to see the side of coporate world which ppl dont see..to learn how to deal with different kinds of ppl..doing sales..being part of an aggressive and dynamic team of advisers who r the top under prudential..of cos it isnt easy at all..the amount of hardwork..the rejections..the discipline required. i can go on and on and on and on..

i also started playing WoW! hehe.. world of warcraft!! haha.. after i started playing, i think maplestory is such a stupid game!! :p actually they work the same way.. killing..doing quests..levels.. items.. but i like WoW better cos it's 3D and i like the characters and the sound effects! and of cos it's more exciting than maple la(simply means i keep dying) hehe.. i'm currently a level10 priest! and a chio one too! hahaha.. but the saddest part is that i cant install the game on my 2 laptops and 1 desktop at home! all not enough RAM! :(((( can only go julius house and fight with him over it. haha.. k la.. never fight la.. he always let me play one.. heh..

talking abt julius.. we went for our 1st overseas trip together! :D although it's only KL.. it's a good start! haha.. it's in fact my 1st overseas trip with frens.. of cos trips with schs are not counted! heh.. anyway abt 8 of us went together, us with his soccer frens plus another 1 of the gfs. so 6guys + 2 girls. we stayed at SuCasa Service Apartments with 2 rooms, kitchen, bathtub, 2 toilets, aircon, 3tvs, swimming pool, 4 beds and relatively new furniture..at only 16SGD per night! anyway the main purpose of going down to KL was for the KLMS'06 held at Putra WTC. if i'm not wrong, it's one of the biggest car shows held. and it's really DAMN BIG! 4 halls with each one bigger than our Suntec convention hall.. they have all sorts of cars from those u can see running on the streets to those u can never see on the streets(concept cars).. they even have truckers and motorbikes.. and the models,WAH!! hehehe.. i'll go get the photos and upload to prove it! anyway i still think my SLK will be good enough.. haha! anyway it was just a 2 days trip.. very rush.. therefore, shopping not shiok enuff! haha.. but i'll definitely go back soon.. it's damn cheap.. i spent less than 100 on food, travel and accomodation, excluding wad i spent on shopping of cos.

yesterday was freddy's bday! i went ktv with the guys..5guys+1girl..kbox at amk.. damn shiok! we sang from 7pm to almost 2am and i could still walk home! hahaha.. actually i think i sang the most, considering only me and chinchao reached on time. we planned a little surprise for freddy.. ordering a cake from kbox itself, we requested that they bring in the cake at a specific time. then, when it was time, the waiter was holding onto the cake, peeping into our room, pointing to the cake as if he was waiting for a signal for him to go in! and the best part was, freddy was sitting nearest to the door and he was the 1st one to notice the waiter looking so stupid pointing at the cake! hahahaha!! he was like.. eh?? what is the waiter trying to do? hahaha~~ so stupid can!! we all couldnt stop laughing! what a birthday surprise.. after 7hrs of singing, i came home with a very bad throat.. haha

the pizza and kfc on the day before made the throat worse la.. hehe.. gen, i promised to think of u when we were eating the pizza and i did! so i kindly took a photo of wad we had at my house that day.. i'll upload it soon.. hehe.. denise and harkkah came my house for a little "FULL HOUSE" matharon.. i love the show!! although a bit draggy and rain is not as cute as expected.. :p i love the song.. and song huiqiao! i also finished watching IT STARTED WITH A KISS.. ER ZHUO JU ZHI WEN. granted it's funnier than FULL HOUSE, but it's also more draggy..

our ce gang also had a little outing to holland village..we had nydc for dinner and then headed to eski bar for some drinks..everyone seem to be comparing how boring their VIPs are..i also managed to meet up with zhiyun, joy and yuling..we did a little catching up plus some shopping.. heh..realised we all have changed quite a bit.. i also finally went swimming! went with my pri sch classmates.. ruizhi, ivan and JJ..it was a long time since i swam.. ruizhi and i were in our pri sch swim team together.. but too long never swim le.. totally no stamina..couldnt catch up with the guys.. haha.. and the reason why i suddenly wanted to swim, was bcos the next day i went to perm my hair!!!! it's quite a drastic change i feel.. i'm still not used to seeing hair from the side of my eyes..too much volume..dont like. i feel 10 years older.. but strange enuff, everyone has been telling me that it suits me better than my straight hair..alright maybe everyone is just consoling me.. hmm.. oh yah.. i became more tanned also.. cos i went suntanning in sentosa! haha.. crazy. i'm someone who cannot suntan..cos my tan will never go away.. again someone mistook me for a malay. :( anyway there's this New York Pizza at habourfront that is really cheap and good. it's somewhere nearer to the cruise centre side. fast food. 1 huge piece of thin crust pizza with drink and a chicken wing(bbq or fried) starts from 4.90. very reasonable.

anyway results for last sem did improve..so i'm happy enuff. so that was how i spent my hols so far. hope i've satisfied my readers..hehe.. i noe it's very wordy..i promise the next post will be full of pictures! oh..next week i'll be going melaka with my company..so prob more photos to come! anyway, the whole purpose of this entry would be abt my smashing saturday at the st nicks fiesta funfair! i'm sure everyone would agree that it was one the best and most happening funfair..ever! there was a whole arcade at the table tennis area, where there was everything from daytona to the para para dance machines to the ice hockey games. there was an ezone at the forum area with the arcade game machines. there's also this uncle ringo thing.. games and food stalls set up by students..one of them was selling pastamania! there were even pony rides! real pony! ...duh! haha.. i noe i made it sound very exaggerated..but trust me, i havent even listed everything i saw there.. the whole thing was just too overwhelming. well i guess.. seeing is believing!

something interesting happened today. i stepped into kfh at 8plus.. saw wee khoon, my ce classmate as well as one of the RAs of kfh in the office beside the door. he stopped me and asked me to go participate in some network gaming thing. i was quite shocked. me? network gaming? haha.. i laughed at the tot of it.

he sounded like he really needed ppl to participate and promised that it will only last for 30mins to an hr.. so i agreed join in the fun. but i warned him that i noe nothing abt playing tetris. u noe, the kind of brick game we all used to play. i unwillingly dragged myself up to my room to get my laptop and down to the lounge to join them. turned out i was one of the only 2 girls in the whole "competition". haha.. we were divided into 3 teams and after winning 3 games in a row, i got into the finals. ha! didnt noe anybody b4 the competition and now i made some new frens.. and instead of 30mins-1hr, i think i played a total of of 11 games in slightly over 2 hrs! although i didnt win in the end, i still had a lot of fun. and guess wad? the objective was to find a tetris king..but we found a tetris queen instead! haha.. the other girl won! only 2 girls, 2 went into finals and 1 won! shame to all the guys! haha.. but it was fun~ dont mind playing it again..

and despite all the warnings about RENU, i'm still using it. shit. why am i so stubborn?

was doing my heavenly maths project (researching on horoscopes, gregorian calendars, 12-hour-clocks,...) and homework (taking photos of shadows..) the whole of yesterday morning and afternoon. went to eat macs breakfast also. my favourite big breakfast with my favourite hashbrown. *satisfied look* i've always love the feeling of eating breakfast with someone i love. be it my family or my bf. i even told julius that next time i'll prepare breakfast while he plays his maplestory (instead of reading the papers..how cliche!) every morning. haha..

after that i took cab to work. nothing much happened at work except that it feels weird after not working for like..almost 2 weeks i guess. meanwhile my primary sch classmates were having a class gathering, singing kbox at marina sq itself. :( i also want to singgggggg!!! singsingsing! urgh.. supposed to go with my colleagues last week..but one of them couldnt make it, so it was cancelled. again yesterday i couldnt join them at kbox. so they sang, while i worked. :( nice ruizhi and ivan bought me dinner though. then after work i went to join them at suntec ben&jerrys. but i didnt eat anything. in the end we decided to go this 24hr place at potong pasir to have supper. jacksons or something. by then only left the 5 of us. 2 girls 3 guys. and the 2 girls were pretty stoned already. ha.. but it was fun la. totally enjoyed their company.

this morning it was project again. this time it's my pharmacy breadth. urgh. so many so many projects. had a filling lunch with qiulin at gecko. and now i'm back in hall, feeling sleepy as usual. nitex ppl :p

so i went out with julius on saturday. we wanted to watch the sneak preview for FD3 cos the GV site states that they have it at PS but we didnt see it on the listings at GVPS itself. so we decided to watch pink panther instead. but guess wad? only 1st row seats left! so we didnt watch in the end. walked around ps. went to lucky plaza to sell my e700a. went paragon to check out the price of n70 at the m1 shop. ate at crystal jade la mian xiao long bao. in the end we went j8 to check out their timings for pink panther. we arrived at 7.20..and found out that the show started at 7.10.. :S so we went to the vcd shop and found Final Destination..da bao LJS and went to my house to watch the vcd. haha.. come to think of it, we did a lot of things that day.

sunday was spent with my family. had steamboat lunch in the afternoon. then went out with julius to northpoint to buy my shirt and his n70. then went to my ah mah's birthday dinner at the noble house. pretty cool place. think the dinner cost a fortune! pics later!

whee~ thanks to yeeming and gang, ce day is back!! i didnt expect it to be so fun! the lecturers, admin staff, graduate students and yr1s-yr4s all came down to join in the fun today! although some of them only turned up to get the free limited edition ce tshirt, it was still nice to see everyone gathering. :) i went down early to help out since i had no lessons today..ended up doing some props for the human chess game. it's quite cute! the players were the actual chess pieces and they just moved around the lifesize chessboard on the ground! then there was contract bridge and some air,land&water game where they build the tallest and most stable structure, using straws. hee. civil engineering ma. it was the staff versus the exchange students versus the students. i was watching the contract bridge game. i think the only difference abt contract bridge is that they play with fixed partners, unlike the normal bridge where u have to guess who's your partner. so the 1st game was between weichong,kaiyan & prof ang kk,dr chew. kind of funny cos dr chew's not very good at the game, while prof ang dunno how to play at all! hee.. b4 that dr chew gave a speech and he mentioned something like "this is the only chance u can trash your profs!" haha.. i ended up teaching prof ang how to play. he looked really blur and helpless thruout the game. in the end, they really got trashed by weichong & kaiyan. haha..

i have seriously lost count on how many blogs i have set up. i think this is the 3rd or 4th. for certain reasons, i have never published my blog-sites. i guess, for the survival of this one, i shall make it an exception. :)

i've been blog-surfing to find out how my frens celebrated their vday and then i realised that most of them still faithfully update their blogs ever so often. everyone except me (and maybe albert!). and so i decided to do something about it. i thought about wad propels them to blog so frequently..and i think it's probably cos they have such nice blog templates and stuff. haha.. i really like this one. simple and of cos, that pouting little girl. just like me. wanted to use some maplestory skins..cos the colours are really nice and refreshing. but it's too kiddish la. :p

while ppl are saying "term break is coming!", i'm saying "it's already here!" whee~ having a free day on friday is really cool. my term break officially starts today and ends next next monday. :p lots of activities lined up for next week. hopefully i can find time to catch up with my work. cheers and old chang kee officially opened just across the road! i couldnt resist the temptation (despite my very bad cough) i bought a spring roll and nuggets b4 my lecture just now. kfh rocks! ha!
